Hey friends!
I wanted to share a quick update as I get closer to my trip to Italy and Albania at the end of August. Things are moving fast, and so is my to-do list, but in the middle of it all, God has been gently reminding me what real peace looks like.
It’s not the kind of peace that only shows up when everything’s finished, packed, and perfect (let’s be real none of that is happening anytime soon). It’s the kind of peace that meets you in the chaos, right in the middle of coffee spills, late-night planning, and yet another round of support letters.
It says in Philippians 4:7 that “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” I’ve been learning that this peace doesn’t mean life suddenly gets easy. It means Jesus is steady, even when I’m not. He’s calm, even when I’m overwhelmed.
To be honest, I’ve felt pretty overwhelmed lately. There have been moments where I’ve just sat in the middle of everything and thought, “I don’t think I can do this.” Between fundraising, preparing, and just trying to process the fact that I’m leaving the country soon, it’s a lot.
But what’s been amazing is how, right in those messy moments, God keeps meeting me with a quiet whisper: “I’m here.”Not after I get it all together but right now. That’s the kind of peace I’m learning to lean into.
Fundraising update
Right now, I’ve raised $1,700 out of the $7,900 I need before I leave on August 29. Praise God!
But That means I still need $6,200 to go and I’m trusting that God will continue to provide through people like you who want to be part of this mission in a real, tangible way.
If you feel led to give (even $10 helps!), or to share my story with others, I would be incredibly grateful. Here is my fundraising page

How you can pray
That my heart stays soft and ready for what God wants to do in and through me.
For the remaining funds to come in before I leave.
For our whole team—unity, wisdom, and boldness as we step into new places and cultures.
Thank you so much for reading, supporting, and praying. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed in your own season lately, I just want to remind you: peace doesn’t wait for the storm to pass—it shows up in it.
God is in control. And He’s with us.
Love you all
